K'NEX Challenge

On 3 days out of each school week, Alex attends SPARKS class which provides special projects to promote the development of critical thinking and independent research methods. Alex's SPARKS class's project this spring was to participate in the K'NEX challenge. This is a building challenge that promotes STEM skills. The third grade's challenge was to build a vehicle that would securely hold an 18.8-ounce can of soup while the vehicle traveled down a 3-foot ramp. The design was all their own and the kids really had fun with it. The winners of the contest haven't been announced yet but Alex's SPARKS class was featured in the Memphis Commercial Appeal!
