For my baby sister's 40th birthday, Sophia and I hopped a flight and
surprised Aunt Susan with a trip to Durham NC for her birthday celebration. Mom and Dad and Amy also surprised the birthday girl.
Susan's hubby David, active in the Raleigh theater community, planned and executed a scrumptious party for Susan at the Raleigh Little Theatre. The theater was a great backdrop for a festive mix of friends from all walks of Susan and David's life.
Susan is a beautiful and talented mother of 3, wife, teacher, engineer, and natural child birth coach. The breadth and range of party goers who came out to celebrate on this early summer eve was impressive. I was so glad to be a part of the celebration of Susan and all her talents!
Highlights of the trip for Sophia were, obviously, the plane rides, chasing her boy cousins around their house, chasing her cousins' cat Daphne around the house, and sharing a hotel room with her mama and Aunt Amy. She was tickled to be part of the exciting weekend.
